Boxing, we all love boxing and all of the amazing fights and fighters it features, like the great Muhammad Ali VS. Joe Frazier. UFC contains amazing fights and fighters like Chuck Liddel VS. Tito Ortiz at UFC 47. But what if you combine the two sports?

UFC champion Conor McGregor and retired boxer Floyd Mayweather are willing to fight each other. For almost a year now McGregor and Mayweather have been going back and forth to each other on social media and interviews. Now they are finally negotiating the fight. Mayweather made it clear on a Showtime boxing event on 2/24 that he most definitely wants the fight with McGregor and now it’s time to write it down in pen and paper. “I’m here to say today, 2-24 on my birthday, they keep throwing the Conor McGregor name out there. Conor McGregor, like I said before, I’m here let’s make it happen. Let’s make the fight happen. Let’s give the fans what they want to see. There’s only one fight out there that’s important and that’s Mayweather and Conor McGregor.” Mayweather said.

People would love to see that fight happen and McGregor and Mayweather would love to fight each other but there is some questions legitimacy of putting one of the greatest boxers of this generation against a UFC fighter with no prior boxing experience. Las Vegas already said that Mayweather is near 25 to 1 to favorite if he goes in the ring with McGregor.“I mean cause every time Conor McGregor goes out there and compete and win, he do it standing up,” Mayweather said to counter that argument. “When Conor McGregor did lose, he lost on the ground. He didn’t lose standing up. So he’s a hell of a fighter and a very, very tough competitor and he has the will to win”. “The UFC gloves is no different from boxing gloves, they just a little bit smaller but if a guy got power, he got power and Conor McGregor got power.” Mayweather said.

Mayweather recently pointed some jabs at Mcgregor saying that Mcgregor makes his own rules, and the current UFC lightweight champion has to go through his employers for permission. Mayweather can already tell that fighting McGregor will be his biggest payday and he’s not scared of putting his 49-0 record up.
