I have always considered myself a lover of french fries. No matter the shape, or size. I do however, have a strong bias between my favorite fast-food fries. A connoisseur, some might say.

I’ve been assigned to test out the fries of the top fast food places; which I mean, is the best homework anyone could be assigned. I have tested out 4 places- Freddy’s, Mcdonald’s, Wendy’s, and the classic… In and Out. These have been rated on 4 attributes: Quantity, Quality taste and overall satisfaction.

Freddy’s

Before I started this article, I have never had these fries. I had tasted their custard once before- which is creamy, delicious and overall soothing for a broken heart. But these fries, could heal a broken heart, soul or maybe even a leg. For close to $7.00, you get two incredibly large baskets of fresh and tasty fries. Let me begin, these fries have a perfect balance between crunchy and chewy fries; which I am an absolute fan of. They have a small design for maximum flavor, and the deal breaker for me is that their flavor is more than just salt. You can adequately taste every single seasoning on it. And yes, all those fries were consumed with help.

Quantity: 5 out of 5

Quality: 5 out of 5

Taste : 5 out of 5

Satisfaction : 5 out of 5

   McDonald’s

McDonald’s fries are usually good at about 3 am when you’re just craving something to clog your arteries. I decided to dig deeper as to why everyone is so crazy about their fries, their secret ingredient: beef fat. They use beef fat to flavor their fries, hence as to why all their food tastes the same. I’m not saying they’re bad, but they are just fries. It seems that any time you order them they’re completely burnt or soggy with oil.

Quality: 3 out of 5

Quantity: 2 out of 5

Taste: 2.5 out of 5

Overall satisfaction: 2.5

 In and Out

I know these aren’t everyone’s favorite fries.. But hear me out

Personally, these fries are very tasty. They’re freshly made with every order and they don’t have tons of salt or grease. I prefer fries to have little salt or seasoning (Freddy’s was an exception!) these and their chocolate shake complement each other perfectly. You get a balanced amount between burger and fries that once you have finished one, you pretty much also finished the other.

Quality: 4 out of 5

Quantity: 4 out of 5

Taste: 4 out of 5

Overall satisfaction: 4 out of 5

Wendy’s

These have been my favorite until I tried Freddy’s, by a long shot. They have a perfect amount of saltiness and they taste magical when you dip them in their chocolate frosty’s this time, the fries did get a little soggy right when we got them, but they were still consumed. The frosty’s do make them much, much better.

Quality: 3 out of 5

Quantity: 4 out of 5

Taste: 3 out of 5

And the winner is… Freddy’s!!!! They completely knocked out all the other competition by a long shot, their taste, quantity and quality really had me hooked in their tasty and mouth-watering grasps.

Let me know in the polls what your favorite fries are!
