I would like to start this off with a special thanks to the whole swim and dive team for letting us interview them, and a special thanks to the people that we interviewed. I had an amazing time interviewing them and they were really nice and funny people and asking them how they felt about swimming in cold water (special thanks to my man Ithamar for helping me with the interview).

Hannah Bradshaw (Junior):

She loves being on the dive team. Her teammates are very supportive and fun. From her experience she says that if the water’s cool and you don’t go fast, all you do is freeze. Her best score that she has gotten this year was a 247. Let’s go Hannah with an amazing score!

Jonathan Emanuelson (Senior):

He would say being on the swim team is crazy. They have a tiny team and everybody is close whether they like it or not. From Jonathan’s experience when the pool water is cold you do go faster. The fastest time he’s gotten this year on the 50 freestyle is 23.8. That’s my man Jonathan.

Marcus Weiser (Senior):

He would compare being on swim like being in a big family. He would say that on scale of 1 to 10 of how tan he’s gotten he would say a solid 7. From his experience he would say that if the pool water is cold you do swim faster but it’s harder for you to breathe. His fastest time that he has gotten this year was a 59 on his 100 fly.

Katie Currier (Senior):

She would say being on the swim team is really fun because they all support each other. She says that when the pool water’s cold, you swim faster. Her fastest time was this year was a 26.19 on the freestyle.

Kenny (Coach):

“Their season has gone well. Some of the highlights of the season is that some boys are qualifying a couple of them. They are really hype and ready for regionals. Also some girls are qualifying for state with the times they have gotten. If you have any interest in swim, go out and give it a try. You just need to know how to swim.”
