Following really good wins over Cactus, Lake Havasu, and Peoria, Deer Valley boys’ basketball is back to back region champions. The team is looking to go undefeated in region for the second year in a row as well. MaxPreps.com says Deer Valley’s currently nineteen and four overall.

Now with the regular season coming to an end the team looks for the playoffs. It’s hard not to overlook the underwhelming competition in 4A and look straight for Shadow Mountain. Being the top two seeds in the conference, with Shadow being the only 4A team able to be Deer Valley. As good as their last match up was both teams will surely be watching across the brackets throughout the state tournament. The state playoffs will definitely be a fun one. Deer Valley has secured home court throughout and is really well positioned to be in the state final again.
