This 2024 NBA season is coming to a end and the postseason is near, this been one of the most interesting we’ve seen in a while. The standings this season has been unpredictable, a 45 win team is a 10th seed in the west which would be a 6th seed in any other season thats how crazy the standings are.  The MVP race has been between 2 people lately Nikola Jokic and Luka Doncic they have been dominating the NBA lately in statistics and team success.

Luka Doncic

I believe that Luka Doncic should win the MVP this year because his team earlier was depleted cause of injuries. The Dallas Mavericks were the 6th most injuried team in the NBA. Throughout this stretch which is October to February, he averaged 34.4 points, 9 rebounds, and 9.7 assists. He had to carry a depleted team and their record without him is 4-8.

Nikola Jokic

Nikola Jokic is the best player in the world. After winning the championship last season he proved that he is not choker and removed all negative narratives. This 2024 season he had 25 triple doubles leading the entire NBA. His season averages are 26.4 points, 12.4 rebounds, 9 assists, and 64 percent true shooting percentage. He also had the most win-shares with 17, Highest offensive win-share, and the second highest defensive win-share. But he has already won 2 MVP’s and voter fatigue in the NBA will prevent Nikola Jokic from receiving his third MVP.
